I’ve been putting this one off for a while but finally got to it this week. I haven’t had much reading time between concerts and the birth of one of my best friends’ babies but I finally finished it.
Lena and Ethan have been through so much and yet their world seems to simply be in waiting for the end of everything. After Lena claims herself at the end of the second book and makes a choice no one thought possible, everything seems to be on the brink of destruction. Nothing is growing, everything is stale and it seems like the end of days is upon them it is simply waiting for something to begin.
Honestly, this book was not as good as the first two. It seemed like a huge stall and a whole lot of nothing before the ending which I found to be extremely predictable. It definitely wasn’t exciting and I found myself putting it down many times out of lack of interest.
I think I’ll read the fourth book but if it is as dull as this one was, I’m not sure I’ll make it through it.
